Hi! I'm Alyssa, a journalist and podcaster. I write about media, celebrity, technology, and how the internet is changing our lives. My reporting has taken me everywhere from Apple product launches to the 2016 primaries to succulent farms in Southern California. I’m based in Los Angeles as a senior staff writer at The Ringer, where I reported, wrote, and hosted Boom/Bust: HQ Trivia, a 2020 audio documentary about the rise and fall of a viral trivia app. My latest project is This Blew Up, a six-part narrative series about the highs and lows of social media stardom.
